1. Overview
Keeping your clients’ information secure is important to us, which is why we’ve added multi‑factor authentication (MFA) to the DASH Platform. This is in addition to steps taken last year to add MFA to the Client Portal and mobile app.
We’ve introduced MFA to help keep your data safe and make sure the Platform meets today’s security standards. MFA adds an extra layer of security on your platform log in that makes it more difficult for unauthorised access to your account.
2. How to set up MFA for your DASH Platform Log In
- Navigate to the DASH Platform Log In page and enter your credentials
- On your first time logging in with correct credentials you will be shown a QR code which will allow you to add the MFA token to your device
- Can the QR code using your device’s camera, to add the MFA token to your preferred authentication app.
- While DASH makes no specific recommendations on what authentication apps are to be used, the following are supported.

- Users should refer to the specific details and policy of the authenticator app that they use.
- Once the token has been added to your preferred authentication app, enter your one-time code and click continue
- If the correct code is entered, you will be logged into the platform.
- If an incorrect code is entered, you will receive an error message noting the invalid code. Enter the correct one-time code and click continue.

3. Frequently Asked Questions
3.1. What if my client or I are having issues authenticating their account when they log in?

3.2. Do I need to have MFA set up to access the DASH Platform?
Yes, to provide security over your client's data you’ll need to have multi-factor authentication in place to access the DASH platform.
3.3. What happens if I change my mobile device that contains my Authenticator App?
Please contact DASH at adviserservices@dash.com.au or 1300 726 008 and one of our team will provide assistance.
3.4. What if I change my mobile number?
The MFA token is linked to the device not the mobile number as we are not using SMS MFA on the platform. MFA will continue to work on the same device.
3.5. What if I don’t have an authentication app installed on my device?
On iOS if you opt to scan with the stock Camera app, it will set up authentication on the iOS Passwords app.
On Android you may get a message “This app was not found on your device”. Please download your preferred authenticatation app and scan the QR code again to add it to the authentication app.
