Recognising the increased need for advisers and their clients to meet digitally, Dash has a feature on its investor client portal to better facilitate digital meeting appointments.
This article explains how to use the functionality as well as providing some links to software vendors that offer scheduling software tools that integrate with an adviser's core technology suite.
How to enable it?
Advisers will first need to have a scheduling or calendar tool integrated with their primary calendar and use the URL of that scheduling or calendar tool to update the "Calendar URL" (we have provided some in depth instructions for some supported providers in the appendix of this article).
The field is available under entity manager > Adviser > Other IDs > Calendar URL
What is it?
A "Schedule a Meeting" button is visible to clients logging into the Dash client portal under the "Contact your adviser menu" if their adviser has linked a scheduling tool or calendar to their adviser profile (per example above). Clicking/Tapping on the new button will launch the adviser specific scheduling tool. If there is no address specified, then the button is hidden.
The scheduling tool will then be launched in a new browser tab for the client to select a meeting time based on the adviser's set up.
What Scheduling or Calendar tools can an Adviser use?
There are many calendar and scheduling tools available to advisers and some may already be using these tools in their day to day business. Dash allows the use of any of these provided that the tool itself has a customised calendar URL. We have provided links to some articles that give an overview of some of these tools. Please review the tools that best suit your needs in conjunction with any requirements from your technology providers.

Within the event types screen, an adviser can click on the "Copy Link" button and then paste that link to DASH site (per instructions above).

Within the "Scheduling Page Link", click on the "Copy" button to copy the link and then paste into the DASH site.
